The Enketallic™ Legacy Hood Collection by Enkeboll

Enkeboll Designs has created a collection of designer range hoods featuring classic moldings from its Legacy Collection of architectural elements and details.
Individually handcrafted and richly detailed, each Enketallic™ design reflects 60 years of artisan workmanship ensuring that no two creations are ever the same.  The Collection features one of three classic architectural details alchemized in Enkeboll’s unique metallized finish, generating a one-of-a-kind focal point for your home.
This classic-styled range hood is available in 36”, 42”, 48” and 60” as well as custom sizes upon request to accommodate a variety of range and cooktop options.

An Enketallic™ element is the perfect alternative to chrome plating, foundry metal, metallic paint finishes, metal plating, vacuum metallizing, and other metallic processes. Enketallic™ products are created by a cold spray process, a green alternative to metal casting.  Without heat for curing or drying, there is no impact on the substrate or surrounding environment.
The Collection is available in all nine Enketallic™ alchemized finishes, including Enkeboll Gold,  Bronze with Black Patina, Bronze Verdigris, White Bronze, Nickel Silver with Black Patina, Copper with Black Patina, Copper Verdigris, Blackened Iron and Rusted Iron as well as special finishes upon request.
The Enketallic™ Legacy Hood may be ordered with an optional blower and hood liner from Vent-A-Hood®, a 75 year old manufacturer, featuring its patented Magic Lung® centrifugal grease extractor.  This combination of art and technology will ensure that your investment will not only look beautiful, but perform flawlessly for years to come.
Enkeboll has been crafting fine architectural details and furniture since 1956.  Inspired by great design traditions from around the world, Enkeboll products are known for being exquisitely carved and hand-sanded to perfection.  Enkeboll elements and architectural details are specified by leading architects, interior designers, kitchen and bath specialists, as well as builders and contractors the world over.

TURNING WOOD TO GOLD

Reviving the long lost art of Alchemy, that ancient practice of changing base metals, like lead and iron into precious material like gold or silver, Enkeboll launches a new Collection of alchemized architectural elements.

Enketallic™, a proprietary, cold spray process is employed to transform each unfinished wood or resin element into a stunning alchemized accent piece.  The alchemizing process can be applied to a variety of Enkeboll™ products, including moldings, corbels, rosettes and balusters.

Enketallic™ is the perfect alternative to chrome plating, foundry metal, metallic paint finishes, metal plating, vacuum metallizing, and other metallic processes. Because Enketallic™ is not a metal paint, it will not shrink due to evaporation.  Enketallics are durable enough to be used in outdoor applications when properly applied to the approved substrate.
Enketallic™, a great green alternative to metal casting due to the use of an exclusive cold spray process which uses no heat for curing or drying, so there is no heat impact on the substrate or surrounding environment. Due to the nature of the process there is no off-gassing in the final product.
The Park Avenue and Tribeca Collection as well as the complete Enkeboll family of elements and designs are available in all ten Enketallic alchemized finishes, including gold, bronze, white bronze, nickel silver, copper, copper verde, blacken iron and rusted iron as well as special finishes upon request.

HOME IS WHERE THE HEARTH IS

Today, when uncertainty surrounds and the world outside seems lost to confusion and chaos, we seek, almost by instinct, sanctuary and communal comfort, much like our ancestors once did, around an open fire.
Reaching into our collective past, to a time when all family, community and social activates took place deep within the heart of the castle, we find the “Hearth”, a place where life, feasting, entertainment and communal gathering centered.
Today, rich in tradition and craftsmanship, a fireplace mantel by Enkeboll can be found in a variety of styles, and finishes, from classic to transitional, from romantic to modern, all created to reflect your personality and lifestyle.
So throw another log on the fire, pull the children closer and tell a tale or two of days gone by, and let the winds of uncertainty blow outside and feel secure in the natural warmth of the hearth of your modern castle.

Redefining Tradition

Having just returned from the Las Vegas Home and Gift Market, I am filled with both hope and excitement for the future.  American design is alive and well and pushing the boundaries and definition of modern design.

What was of interest to me was the style direction that was evident at almost every turn, the influence of traditional styling on contemporary design.   Details and elements that have stood the test of time are now finding a new and younger audience.  The cornerstone of classic architecture, the acanthus leaf, could be seen sprouting up everywhere in now forms and interpretation, mostly in bright colors and metallic finishes.

Architects, interior designers as well as product designers have a new perspective on traditional elements and are creating new products and interiors with deep roots that are grounded in a rich history classic design.  Fluid lines, polished metal and historic reference, the future of design is clearly defined with a nod to the past.

It is clear that each generation must interpret the past in their own image. From the use of classic design elements in un-conventional applications to eye-popping color or metallic finish, Nouveau Classicist design is the bridge between two worlds converging in a ballet of color, shape and experimentation.

HEARST CASTLE COLLECTION BY ENKEBOLL

Enkeboll has joined an elite group of licensees of the Hearst Castle Collection® by rolling-out the first ever collection of architectural woodcarvings fashioned after the magnificent details of the Hearst Castle in San Simeon California. If your projects call for the rich, historically inspired accents of the great Golden Age of California as found in the Hearst Castle, Enkeboll is the only authorized provider of such accents.
The Collection, which Enkeboll designers adapted from the artisan details of architect Julia Morgan’s original renderings, is reminiscent of the great golden age of California yet refined for a more current functionality.
The original designers, artists and master craftsmen who brought the castle to life combined antiquities with contemporary decoration and structure. Enkeboll’s interpretation of the details reinforces how classic design continues to mix seamlessly with contemporary.
Publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst and architect Julia Morgan collaborated for 28 years on the creation of Hearst Castle which was the paradigm of a work and leisure, indoor-outdoor lifestyle. “We are very excited to have Enkeboll join our group of design licensees,” said Dallas Saunders, licensing & design director, Hearst Castle Collection. “The reinterpretation of the intricate details found on the walls, floors and other decorative surfaces of the castle could not be in better hands.”
As is true of all Enkeboll woodcarvings, each piece is carved of the finest North American hardwoods and is available in Oak, Mahogany, Walnut, and Cherry, Alder, Maple or special order species. Proceeds from licenses developed as part of Hearst Castle Collection will be used for its preservation and operation.
